Michael Riehl, the Senior Vice President Global Brand and Sports Relations for IAAF Official Partner adidas, died unexpectedly on Sunday (24) in Germany at the age of 56.

The traditional IAAF Dinner, which is held on the eve of every IAAF World Athletics Series event, took place at the 40th edition of the IAAF World Cross Country Championships (24 March), Bydgoszcz, Poland on the evening of Saturday 23 March.

Imre Matrahazi Sr. died on 20 March 2013 after a serious illness. He was an emblematic, prominent figure of Hungarian Athletics, a much respected competition organiser and technical official.
