Kenya s former world record-holder Patrick Makau successfully defended his Fukuoka Marathon title in 2:08:18 on Sunday (6), and became the first man to get back-to-back wins at the IAAF Gold Label Road Race since Ethiopia s Tsegaye Kebede did so in 2008 and 2009.
